FAQs

I know a lot of questions come up, even before you decide to book a session, so I have created a common FAQ page to help answer some of your questions. Please reach out if you have other questions that are not listed on this page.


WHAT SHould I and My Family WEAR

I have a guide that I can supply to you (by request) with some more information on this.


In my studio I have a collection of different colours and sizes of maternity gowns you can choose from for your session.

Do you have maternity gowns that I can use?


All newborn props (including flokais, outfits, headbands, wraps, bowls, etc.) are all provided and I will work with you to ensure you get the look, colour palette, textures that you want.

Do you have NEWBORN PROPS/WRAPS I can use?


50% of the deposit is required to hold the date and time.

How much deposit do you ask for?


Session length varies depending on the type of booking. Please reach out to me directly for more information.

How long are the sessionS?


Pricing is customized based on what type of session, length, images and please reach out to me directly for more information.

Where can I see your pricing?


Please call my business phone number during normal business hours or send me an email to deb@deborahnakaskaphotography.com. You can also fill out the contact form and I will reach out to you by email or phone after that. Payment is due to book your session.

How do I reserve a session?


Reach out for investment options. There is quite a range of sessions and products. Please reach out to set up a time to see the products or to discuss the packages (virtually, phone or in person).

What do the digital packages come with?


I have specials at various times of the year. Please sign up for the newsletter so you are informed when these happen.

Do you offer discounts?


Yes, basic retouching is included. For other retouching (e.g. colour changes), extra fees may apply.

My Baby has acne, Can you retouch it?


If you have purchased a digital package, I will have a quick turnaround for you to see the images - usually within the week.

How long does it take to see my photos?


This depends on the type of package you purchased.

How many photos do I get?


No, raw files or original files are not provided. Only edited files are provided.

Do you give out raw images or original files?


This is something we can discuss but all images need a little bit of retouching.

What if I don’t want retouching?


Yes, if we are doing a dog photoshoot or family photoshoot and it is arranged prior. Unfortunately, I cannot have animals in my commercial studio space.

Can I bring my dog to a photoshoot?


It depends on the product you are ordering. This timeline will be discussed at the time of order.

How long does it take to receive an order?


Yes, you certainly can but we can only guarantee holding the photos for 30 days. The images are held on backups for a good period of time.

Can I order more photos later on?


Yes, reach out to discuss the options for these.

Do you do cake smashes?


Yes, I have for many years now. I also have two children of my own and two fur babies.

Do you photograph children?


Some of my packages include hair and makeup - reach out for more details.

Is hair or makeup included?


I ask all clients to email or call me within 24-28 hours of having your baby, so we can set up a session. Most babies will be booked anywhere from 8-10 days (some 12-14 days) depending on the weight of the baby.

I have pre-booked my newborn session, now what?


Let me know if your baby is early or late and we can figure out a date and adjust the schedule.

What if my baby comes early or late?


I photograph people and babies of all ages. Your baby will likely be awake and have different poses/wraps (since it is no longer a newborn at that age).

I missed the newborn window and my baby is now 2 months old, will you still photograph them?
